Anyone on the Beirut streets these days will notice new traffic lights at intersections previously run by fine members of our police force. I was really happy to see the new lights adding some much needed organization to our streets. And also because, does this mean that police officers in this country will actually have the time to protect us - i.e. do their job - now that they don't have to do the incredibly arduous task of ushering cars to and fro?
The above pics show two different lights at separate intersections in Ashrafieh that previously had police guiding traffic.
Well, at least there seems to be one ministry that is actually working - and by that I mean doing something that is beneficial to the people, which is more than can be said about the rest of lot.
